XpertCare was started out of a personal experience of founders. Our highly trained pediatricians and subspecialists are also parents, neighbors, and like you, are engaged in their children’s sports activities. We have an outstanding Clinical Leadership Team that sets our quality measures and ensures we deliver the best care to children.

Dr. Lisa Di Enno joined XpertCare as the Chief Medical Officer of XpertCare Medical Group and the Digital Clinic in California. Dr. Di Enno is a Board-Certified General Pediatrician with over five years of clinical experience caring for our nation's littlest heroes - the children of our military’s active-duty personnel. Her time in the Navy has been spent attending deliveries of both well and critically ill babies, providing routine well-care and acute visits for kids of all ages, assisting the ER with emergency consultations, and mentoring trainees at all levels of medical education.

While she is very sad to be leaving her military kids and families, Dr. Di Enno is excited to begin a new chapter in her career as a civilian Pediatrician. Using the latest digital technology, she is looking forward to reducing the burden on parents by bringing quality medical care to busy families in the comfort of their own homes.

Dr. Mark Harary is Board Certified in Sports Medicine and Family Medicine. He earned his undergraduate degree in Movement Science from the University of Michigan in 1998. He went on to medical school at Ross University, where he graduated with honors in 2002. He completed a family medicine residency at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA and then completed his fellowship training in Sports Medicine at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

Dr. Harary specializes in the non-operative treatment of musculoskeletal problems in both pediatric and adult patients. He has a special interest in treating concussions, osteoarthritis, fractures and other acute injuries. He employs the most up to date treatments for these conditions, including ultrasound guided injections, PRP and Stem Cell treatments. He enjoys helping his patients return to, and maintain, active lifestyles. Dr. Harary is a concussion specialist with St. Charles Hospital’s ThinkSMART!™ Concussion Management Program which provides baseline testing and concussion management for over 40 school districts in Suffolk County. He serves as the sideline team physician for the Commack High School and Miller Place High School football teams.

He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, American Medical Society of Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Harary strives to be actively involved in his community. He has given numerous educational talks on various topics including nonsurgical treatments of arthritis and concussions. He has served on the planning committee for the annual Arthritis Walk for several years, serving as the Walk Chair for the NYC Arthritis Walk in 2014.

Dr. Alfred Atanda is the Surgical Director of the Sports Medicine Program and a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at the Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. Dr. Atanda is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center. He did his fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at the duPont Hospital for Children. He also completed a sports medicine fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Dr. Atanda performs arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, ankle and elbow. His research explores the use of telemedicine in pediatric sports medicine. He recently published a study which showed that the use of telemedicine decreased cost, wait times, and increased satisfaction. Here is a link to the study.

Dr. Anik Cockroft is a Board Certified Pediatrician with subspecialty training in Pediatric, Adolescent & Collegiate Sports Medicine. She is also a writer, mental health counseling professional and advocate for achieving a work-life balance in the calling to practice medicine.

She received her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL where she was selected as “Most Likely to Make Her Patients Smile” by her medical school classmates. Her medical career then took her to Honolulu to complete her Pediatric Residency at Kapi’olani Hospital for Women & Children on O’ahu. She subsequently completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Hawai’i Manoa caring for the 200+ Division I Rainbow Warrior student athletes.

Dr. Cockroft's research interests are in global medicine, the use of complementary and alternative medicines, highlighting physician resiliency, movement medicine, child advocacy and safety, concussion awareness, avoiding early sports specialization in children, and wilderness medicine.

She will serve as the first Pediatric Sports Medicine Physician on the island of Maui and looks forward to continuing to expand access to care for the children and families in the neighboring Hawaiian islands. Her goal is to unite people through the harmony of sport and health.

Anik is the Mother of a little Maui surfer girl and is currently expecting her next child.

Dr. Garry Choy is a Board Certified Radiologist. Clinical interests are focused on cardiothoracic, abdominal, and emergency imaging. Additional interests include applying technology and quality improvement strategies in telemedicine and global health. Garry also serves as Chief Medical Officer of Q, a venture-backed digital health company (Founders Fund and Andreessen Horowitz) building technology that quantifies, digitizes, and simulates human physiology. Served as a faculty member teaching at Harvard Medical School and Harvard College. Received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University, a Masters of Science in Operations Research/Economic-Engineering Systems from Stanford University, and a Masters in Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University. Completed medical training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine as well as Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Mass General Hospital.

Garry is a father of two wonderful boys.

Dr. VandenBerg is an Orthopedic Surgeon with advanced specialty training in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine. He went on to the University of Michigan, where he was a manager for the baseball team and graduated with a B.S. in Biology. He attended Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and graduated with honors in bioethics while serving as class president for four years.

Dr. VandenBerg completed his internship and residency at Columbia University’s St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. During this time, he also gained further experience in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware. After his five-year Orthopedic Surgery Residency, Dr. VandenBerg completed two years of advanced fellowship training: first at Children’s Hospital Colorado in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery and then at the University of Michigan in Orthopedic Sports Medicine. During his sports medicine fellowship, he served as a team physician for Division 1 college sports teams, including the University of Michigan football, wrestling, men’s hockey, and women’s gymnastics teams and Eastern Michigan University athletic teams.

For each of the past five years, Dr. VandenBerg has traveled internationally with volunteer medical teams to provide Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery services to under-served populations of children in Kenya, Honduras, and Guatemala. Dr. VandenBerg has won numerous awards including: Best Research Project: Big Ten Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship Society Annual Meeting, Orlando, FL, 2015; Best Clinical Paper, Nominee, Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America, Annual Meeting, Atlanta, GA, 2015; Best Research Project, Children’s Hospital Colorado, Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Annual Research Day, Aurora, CO, 2014.

Dr. Susan Huang is a Board Certified Dermatologist. She trained at Harvard Medical School, did her internship at Brigham and Women's Hospital, her residency at Harvard Combined Residency in Dermatology. Her professional interests are Dermatology (Acne treatment, Actinic keratosis (pre-cancers), Basal cell carcinoma, Botox and dermal fillers, Cysts, Melanoma, Mole checks, Pigmented lesions, Skin cancer screening, Skin cancer services, Squamous cell carcinoma)

Susan is a mother to two wonderful boys.

Dr. Sonal Patel is double Board Certified in Allergy and Clinical Immunology as well as Pediatrics. She has recently joined Huntington Asthma and Allergy Center in Pasadena, CA. Prior to that, she was with Adventist health for 11 years. She has 20 years of experience working with the under-served. Dr. Patel initially trained in pediatrics at King-Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles. She then went on to complete a clinical allergy and immunology fellowship at the UCLA School of Medicine. She also completed a Master of Science degree in Clinical Research from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. Her clinical interests include asthma and atopic dermatitis (eczema).

Dr. Patel is the coauthor of the MommyMD Guides to Twins, Triplets, and More. She has authored many blog post on allergies and parenting. . Dr. Patel has a strong interest in working with inner-city patients and the under-served. She has been on international medical missions to Peru, El Salvador, and Mexico. She has also served on the board for the American Lung Association in California. She is currently on the board of the Los Angeles Society of Allergy, Asthma & Clinical Immunology and the California Society of Allergy, Asthma & Clinical Immunology. Dr. Patel is a native Angelino. She is fluent is Hindi, Gujarati, and Spanish. In her spare time she volunteers at her children’s elementary school. Her other personal interests include traveling, reading, movies, and dance.

Sonal is a mother to twins.

Dr. Crystal Beal a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician, attended Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee, Florida. While there, they helped found the LGBT+ medical student group. After medical school, they completed their training at Valley Family Medicine Residency Program in Washington state. Continuing to see gaps in care for the LGBTQAAI2S+ community, Dr. Beal sought extensive additional training in sexual health, queer health, and gender affirming care including self-study, continuing medical education trainings, and shadowing experts in the community including Seattle Children’s Gender Clinic. To fill those gaps, Dr. Beal provides high-quality, expert, and affirming gender care through their private practice, QueerDoc.

Dr. Beal started QueerDoc as an online doctor’s office providing culturally competent and individualized gender affirming care and queer medicine, like puberty blockers, hormone therapy, PrEP, and STI screening. QueerDoc’s mission is to raise the bar in gender affirming care and increase access to high quality care by leveraging novel models of care like telemedicine.

Dr. Beal joins the XpertCare team with passion for their mission to increase access to pediatric specialty care and build community making gender affirming care more available everywhere.

Dr. Ratika Gupta is a double Board Certified Physician in Internal Medicine and Allergy/Immunology. She completed her medical school training at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University Philadelphia and also completed a year of hospitalist medicine in Chicago. She did her residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia and a Fellowship in Allergy/Immunology at Winthrop University Hospital, Mineola, NY. Ratika is a dedicated physician and enjoys talking with her patients.

Dr. Gupta's clinical interests are: Allergic rhinitis, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, angioedema, drug allergy, food allergy.

She enjoys reading, blogging and spending time with family when she is not at work.

Dr. Sarah Samimi Field is a graduate of Saint Louis University School of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine residency and Allergy and Clinical Immunology Fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She currently practices at CHOC Children’s in Orange County, California. Her clinical interests include food allergy, asthma, eczema, with special interest in eosinophilic esophagitis.

Dr. Field is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, a member of Orange County Society of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology, and a member of California Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology

Dr. Scott Falkowitz Dr. Scott Falkowitz is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Donald & Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell on Long Island. He received his undergraduate degree from Binghamton University, then going on to complete his medical education at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating with honors in 2010. He completed his residency training in General Psychiatry at the Zucker Hillside Hospital in Glen Oaks, New York. His fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry was at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia and Cornell Universities in New York City.  He is Board Certified in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. 

Throughout his career, Dr. Falkowitz has worked across a wide spectrum of care, including inpatient, outpatient, school-based, and Emergency Psychiatry. In addition, he has been helping to expand services in Telepsychiatry and Collaborative Care by working with Pediatricians across New York State to collaborate and empower them to manage mild to moderate mental health conditions in their patient populations.

His passion lies in helping to assist in the development of novel models of service delivery which utilize technological innovations to bridge gaps in access to care.  He is invested in working directly with kids and families, as well as their Pediatric providers, to ensure that they receive timely and appropriate evidence-based care.  He is hopeful that his work with XpertCare will help to deliver mental health services in a comfortable, engaging, and whole-person approach to the population in need across the country.

Dr. Paul Ballas is a Board-Certified Child Psychiatrist who has treated children and adolescents with a variety of psychiatric disorders including; ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Mood disorders and Anxiety disorders among others.

Dr. Ballas did his Medical School training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic, completed his Residency and Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He has won several fellowships and awards from nationally recognized medical organizations including the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Dr. Michelle Rook is a Board Certified Pediatric Gastroenterologist. She completed her Pediatric Residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York and Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship at University of California at San Francisco. She treats all aspects of Pediatric GI Disease including, but not limited to Abdominal Pain, GERD, Eosinophilic esophagitis, Motility disorders, Upper and Lower GI bleeding, and IBD.

She has a special expertise in Pediatric Hepatology and treats patients with all etiologies of Pediatric Liver Disease, including Pre-, Intra-, and Post-operative transplant care.

Dr. Rabea Alhosh is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Medicine. Dr. Alhosh is Board-Certified in both General Pediatrics and in Pediatric Gastroenterology.

Dr. Alhosh obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Damascus in Syria. He completed Pediatric Residency at the University of Iowa, then moved to California to complete three years of Gastroenterology Fellowship at the prestigious Children`s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). During his career, Dr. Alhosh has been involved in many research projects and was awarded for his teaching and research activities.

Clinical interests include: Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Eosinophilic Esophagitis and Liver Disease. Dr. Alhosh is also involved in medical education and enjoys working with Residents and Medical students.

Dr. Shana Kaye is a Board-Certified General Pediatrician. She attended medical school at New York Medical College and graduated in 2003. Dr. Kaye did her Pediatric Residency at the Children’s Hospital of Montefiore and has been practicing primary care Pediatrics for 16 years. She has experience in both private practice and urgent care settings. When not busy taking care of patients, Dr. Kaye loves to spend time with her family, play sports, and read.
